Giving the hubby props!!

So...I have GOT to give Chuckles some props. He has been busy doing "honey -do's"!!
We (I guess I should say Chuck) put in a new dining room light. We (Chuck) had to cut a new hole so that our ENORMOUS light would be centered over our table. So I have had a hole in my dining room ceiling for about a month. We have been married long enough that I knew Chuck would fix the hole when it started to bug him or when we moved out of the house so I didn't bother nagging errrrr asking him to fix it. (I don't nag do I???) Well after only a month....he fixed it. It is a temp fix for now which I am so excited about... at least no small animals will fall thru our ceiling while we are eating din-din!!
But wait....there is more....
After 2 years - 6 months & 1 hour...(1 hour is all it took him to nail these up)
I finally have my baseboards nailed to the wall. WOOT WOOT :)
For 2 years - 6 months & 1 hour our baseboards have just been sitting against our walls. They would get kicked and fall down or you would trip over them or they would just fall when you walked by. Ruby actually made this one of her favorite pastimes. She loved to crawl around and knock them down. Well Chuckles did it. they are nailed and glued to the wall (to Ruby's dissapointment). I can't tell you how excited I am. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to my hubby. You are wonderful and so talented w/ a hammer! Big hugs!!

Chuck's new toy!

Chuckles got a few toys for Christmas...well ok, they were actually bought before Christmas but I am counting them! He got a new computer - (I therefore got his laptop) he also got a new camera. For Christmas he got a 50mm 1.8 lens (thanks to Melis). Chuckles is normally hard to buy presents for (very picky) and he is hard to surprise. We got him good this year w/ the lens. He was so excited...he thought he was going to be getting a cordless drill. te-hee He couldn't wait to start taking pics. This was late Christmas Eve...I think this was the first time we sat down all day!!

The history of this temple is amazing to me...40 years to build...it truly is a beautiful building. Nice pic Chuckles.

PKU Breakfast 11/15/08

This was the annual PKU breakfast. Primary Childrens Hospital does this every year for the people that have metabolic disorders like PKU and others. They have free samples of food to try and lots of other information. It was @ Discovery Museum in the Gateway. This was the first year that Mabry really understood why we were there. You could just see the wheels in her head turning when we explained to her that all the other kids and grown-ups that were there had PKU just like her. I felt like crying and laughing at the same time. She was so excited to tell our families that she went to a breakfast where they had PKU food and that everyone else had PKU jut like her. For me it was a very sureal moment...so sad and happy for Mabry & Ruby. So thankful they will have each other to lean on if this PKU stuff gets too hard. So Sad that they have to deal w/ this for the rest of their lives. So thankful this is all they are dealing w/ right now - it could be much worse - So proud that Mabry and Ruby are doing so well on their diet and that Mabry is smart enough to know what she can and can't have. So thankful to have Dr's and dieticians to teach me how to take care of them. So thankful to have 2 beautiful daughters. Well...I have blabbed enough gripes! here are some fun pictures of the museum. I think Chuckles had just as much fun as Mabry did!!

Here are some more from San Fran. It was such a fun vacation...did I mention it is good people watching?? Chuck did almost get beat up by a guy/girl. He/she told Chuck he needed to loose weight. te-hee... so fun!! GREAT MEMORIES!!

Chuckles b-day...September 21, 2008

Chuckles b-day is on 9/21….since I am sure I won’t be able to sneak onto his computer I thought I better do this while I had the chance. Actually copied this idea (sorry Gertie). It was just too cute not to do. Happy 31st b-day Chuckles!
31 things to love about Chuckles…no particular order
1. He is darling…just look @ him.
2. He lets me call him Chuckles
3. Getting grey hair…so Sean Connery…grrrrrrrrr
4. Seriously funny – except when he talks about buying a drum set.
5. He loves me – he should get an award for this. Sometimes I am not so easy to love (hard to believe, I know)
6. He is an extremely hard worker –but his fingernails never have dirt under them - so thankful for this
7. He eats my cooking – he should get an award for this also.
8. Wonderful Daddy. Mabry and Ruby adore him.
9. Taught me how to snowboard – lots of patience
10. Teaching me & Mabes how to golf – even more patience
11. Goes on vacation w/ my family
12. Gives his expert opinion on how to decorate the house
13. Gives his expert opinion on how to dress
14. Likes to shop – no, this isn’t the only reason I married him
15. Listens to me when I gripe about having to work 2 days a week (I know – I’m pathetic) even though he has worked all day and comes home and prints all night.

18. He sings…around the house – in the shower – while he is printing – mowing the lawn. The best part is he thinks he knows the words but really he has just made up his own. He has passed this on to Mabry.

23. Has a lot of goals and dreams. He has accomplished many of these already which makes me admire him even more
24. Doesn’t get mad when a midget scrapes up the side of truck when it is only 3 weeks old. That darn midget….

26. Doesn’t mind that he has a midget for a wife (at least he says he doesn’t)

Water time for Ruby...This was the last day we were @ LP. This was the only day the water was warm enough for Rubes to actually get all the way in. She was having fun w/ daddy and sister. Mabes can always get Rubes laughing. It is the BEST!!

Fun rainbow weekend!!

We had a pretty nice and relaxing Friday and Saturday. A little yard and house work and some haning out w/ the family. A pretty good weekend. I thought Sunday was going to be a normal Sunday. Go to church, big Sunday dinner and that's about it. I was so wrong....Here is the scoop on the rainbow weekend. Chuckles is in charge of doing the program for church, well....he left the battery to his laptop @ his office in Salt Lake. So he took off to SLC to get the battery (this was about 10:30 am - our church starts @ 1:00) and his car broke down. He called me and told me that the car broke down right by the Gay Pride Parade they were having in SLC. I started laughing and didn't believe him - I thought he was just joking. What are the odds right??Well, he wasn't joking and he wanted me to come and get him so he didn't get hit on!! So long story shorter...got the program to the church and loaded the girls into the truck and headed to SLC to see some rainbows. We had our car towed to our house and Mabry loved seeing all the bright colors in SLC. GRIPES!!
On a good note...baby Pete was born on Sunday. Congrats to Karson and Abby!!
