So I think Mabes is a photographer in training. Not sure if she was trying to take a picture of the dinosaur and the DVD cover or if she was trying to take picture of herself in the mirror. Either way she is adorable and loves to take picutes.

So Rubes is 4 months old now. She is the best! Maybe later today I will tell you all about her. She is such a good baby and is so happy. Just look @ how round her face is and her rolls on her legs and back. THE BEST!!

This is a picture from Mother's Day! Yes that is a BIG flower on Rubes head. I promised myself I would never put those bands on my kids heads. But they are just too cute.

4:00 am

Yes I know it is 4:00 in the am but I am sick and can't sleep.Chuck and I have both been sick all week. Safe to say we will not win any parenting awards this week. Now Mabes is starting to get the snot nose. Funny about kids and snot nose. It can be running out both notsrils but they can still keep playing and not let it bother them. Fingers crossed that Rubes will be ok! I was able to clean my house yesterday and it felt so good. I feel like I haven't been able to keep up on things since Rubes was born. Not sure why?? I am only working part time so you would think it would be easy to keep the house clean. Oh-well. So Chuckles tilled up our garden area yesterday. He is sick but worked so hard on the yard yesterday. We are thinking we can plant the garden on Monday. Finally!! Not going to go too crazy this year. Just a few "maters" & "cukes"...maybe some pickles (funny story) for Chuckles! Last year we planted pumpkins. They are so much fun to grow and ours got HUGE but they take up too much room. Our vines started growing out on our grass. Maybe some watermelon this year. Mabes would love that. I so want some cookies right now. I am going to try and post some pix. Wish me luck!

GRIPES!!

Gripes!! Has it really been 2 weeks since I last "blogged"? I am so sorry! Not even sure where to start? Shed....let me tell you the shed story. So we got this shed, Chuckles went and picked it up on Tuesday evening. It was already put together so we just put it in our driveway until we could clear a spot in the backyard for it. Thursday morning we got a visit from South Ogden City....they got a complaint about our shed on Wednesday and we need to have it moved w/in 10 days. -k-...so the shed was up less that 24 hours and someone called to complain!! That is just stupid-dumb. Like we would leave the shed in our driveway, blocking our garage and actually put stuff in it. I was so irritated I just wanted to spit. Seriously folks, c'mon!! So we were going to move the shed that Saturday but we decided to wait another week (after all we have 10 days) just so people could see it more! Not very mature I know but neither is calling and complaing when the shed has only been in our driveway for a day. That is all for now. Rubes is crying! ta-ta

Mabry's hair cut

-k- so this is the picture of Mabry after she cut her own bangs. I am glad she didn't cut anymore than that. I can blend it in really easy!

Yesterday (5/8)

So I tried to go buy some flowers yesterday....I thought since my friend, w/ 2 toddlers and newborn baby bought her flowers AND got them planted that I should be able to do this w/ ease. I THOUGHT WRONG!! My hat goes to you Sherri - mother of the year! I was able to buy one plant and 2 flowers. I wanted red but Mabes wanted pink so guess what color they are?? yep - pink!! She is still cute! So that was it. I did get 5 baskets of laundry folded and Chuckles came home early - What a treat!

More Mabry

Sorry...this is the first time I have been able to get my hands on a computer!! I thought I better tell about how funny Mabes was last weekend before I forget! It might already be too late....My brain is mushy. So she fell on Friday (5/2). On Saturday she decided to cut herself some bangs - nice eeh! I will post a picture of that. She also decided to put on my "hooker" boots - y'know the really tall - high ones. She looked so funny. We took more pictures but I probably won't post those ones!tehe She was in her unders! :)
She also wiped her toothpaste face on my robe and decided she would wipe her bottom with her robe after she went potty. Guess she just needed extra cushy - thank goodness it was #1 and not #2. She is so funny. :)
She has been learning about CTR in church. Now SHE thanks ME for choosing the right when I help pick up her toys. It is so stinkin' cute. I know she did some other funnies but I can't remember. SORRY!!

Mabry's face

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!! I did it. Well ok w/ the help of Chuck and Melis. Thanks guys!! This is only one picture of Mabes. I will have to do the rest later, Chuckles needs his computer. So This is Mabes after she fell and ate (seriously) ate parking lot. We were walking out of dance and I'm not sure who fell first but we both went down and Mabes hit face first. Crying all the way home from dance we finally got band-aids on her entire face and a "ogurt" pretzel to calm her down. Isn't she beautiful? That is all for now! Hugs

Weekend stuff

Hope everyone had a good weekend!! Chuckles and I did outside and inside work this weekend. It was nice to get stuff done. I will admit that Chuckles did much more than I did...for once! tehe.
We finally built my closet so now all my clothes will be in one room. SOOOOO nice. LOVE LOVE LOVE IKEA for making things so easy to put together! Thanks Chuckles, for being so determined to get things done this weekend.
I needed to do a deep cleaning on the house. Does anyone else find it hard to keep the house clean? Chuck used to make fun of me cuz I would clean the house before bed. He used to say I was cleaning it for a robber to come in and see how clean the house was. Maybe this is my OCD kickin' in but it seriously made me sleep better.
I have given up trying to keep the house spotless and feel like if my kitchen table is clean that is good enough for me. Clean just makes me in a better mood! Anyone else?? I have much more to write but will wait to get pictures to show you. It is mostly of Mabes and how stinkin' CUTE she is. She kept us laughing ALL weekend. toodles for now!

Front Runner

What a wonderful Wednesday!! Started out by taking Mabes to pre-school then Chuckles and I both had dentist appointments. Chuckles was done first so he was on Rubes duty. I had some old fillings that broke so Dr H had to numb my whole mouth. GRIPES!! I went to put some chap stick on and couldn't tell if I was putting it on my lips or my chin. Pretty funny!!

We (my sisters and mother) had planned on riding the front runner today. This was the last "free" day. We didn't think it would be too busy in the middle of the day. We were wrong! Mommy dearest ended up staying home and taking care of pops. Isn't she sweet.
I was debating on whether to go or not...my face was still numb and I didn't really want to take Rubes out in the wind and cold weather. My decision was made (thanks to my lil' sis). I decided to go so I didn't turn into my grandma @ age 30!!

It was CRAZY busy!! We piled on to an already crowed train and tried to get comfy. Mabes liked seeing all the horses and decided she was going to ask daddy for a farm when we got home. tehe... To make a long story short...We decided not to go all the way to Salt Lake cuz of all the people and just to Layton Mall. Well, we got off on the wrong stop (clearfield instead of layton) then we got on the wrong bus. (tehe) So here we are...7 kids and 3 mothers walking on a busy road somewhere in Clearfield.

We probably looked like a polygamist family w/ all the kids - the only thing we were missing were long dresses! We finally got on the right bus and went back to the front runner station and were able to get back to Ogden. It was so crazy but we were laughing the entire time. I am so glad both of my sisters were there w/ me. It would not have been fun w/out them. It was the best, funnest time I have had in a long time and I soooooooo needed to laugh like that. Thanks to my sisters! I am trying not to laugh too hard as I am typing this. I just keep thinking of us walking along the side of the road. HAR HAR HAR

Our kids were such troopers...they were so good. It was probably a fun adventure for them. They got to ride a train and a bus!

It was a busy and fun day not soon to be forgotten. Mabes did ask daddy for a farm when he got home. I am sure she will get it! It was a good day for my soul!!
